SIETAR - Society for Intercultural Education, Training, and Research
Founded in 1974, SIETAR has served as an interdisciplinary home for interculturalists and nurtured the careers of leading experts and scholars in the field. SIETAR has a global network of member organizations and offers training, events, and resources, including the annual SIETAR Conference.
World Council on Global and Intercultural Competence
Founded by Darla Deardorff, the new World Council connects researchers and practitioners across disciplines, languages, and countries to advance knowledge, research, and praxis of intercultural competence globally. The World Council runs the UNESCO Intercultural Facilitators Network, ICC Global Researchers' Network, virtual events and meet-ups, working groups and think tanks, and publications.
International Association of Intercultural Communication Studies
The International Association for Intercultural Communication Studies consists of scholars from a range of the cultural sciences who are dedicated to doing research on communication across cultures. The group meets annually at different locations around the world. The results of their investigations are published in the journal of the organization, Intercultural Communication Studies (ICS).
International Communication Association: Intercultural Communication Division
The Intercultural Communication Division of the ICA is committed to trace, shed light, and engage the historical and contemporary urgencies, issues, and challenges of global and local intercultural communication dynamics from multiple paradigmatic lenses, and in multiple settings and contexts.
Intercultural Development Research Institute
Founded by Milton Bennett, the IDR is a home for training, thought leadership, and consulting on constructivist/developmental approaches to intercultural communication/competence.
Institute for Developing Across Differences
Founded recently by Melissa Liles and GlobalEd contributor Nadine Binder, the IDD is an interdisciplinary learning center and vibrant professional community.
CILMAR - Center for Intercultural Learning, Mentorship, Assessment, and Research
Based at Purdue University, CILMAR is a premier center for intercultural learning, serving both the Purdue community and the broader world. They host the ICL Hub, a free virtual resource center.
WISE Conference
Hosted by Wake Forest University, WISE (Workshop on Intercultural Skills Enhancement) is an annual conference and home for intercultural communication.
UNESCO
UNESCO hosts several resources and knowledge centers on intercultural dialogue, including an e-platform and UNESCO Chairs program.
